Look what I found ...

Postby Joris » Sat Nov 04, 2006 1:26 pm

Wandering through the Emmaus (2nd hand shop) looking for nothing really I stumbled on a Santos 8cup... no it didn't break, I have so much experience stumbling that I hardly break anything anymore....

But well, for 5 euro I couldn't resist.....

Yep, that's quite a snip, when you consider the cost of vac-pots new. Does it use a glass plug/rod similar to the Cona?
BTW, the gentleman in the background, is that a gun he has in his hand ..... or is he just pleased to see you?

edit: I said it had a glass rod but meant it's got a glass tube. There's a plastic disc with chain as filter (so not the glass rod as in a cona). I didn't realize you meant that, until I read another recent thread about vac-pots.

Wow, that's a steal. And even with the small burner!
I love my Santos, especially when I have visitors. Makes great coffee and great to look at!

This week I like my coffee luke-warm.
