Really *being* European

Postby phil » Sun Aug 15, 2004 11:24 am

As you all know, TMC's intention is to be the European coffee resource.

To that end, Neku has suggested that it would be a good idea for us to translate our content additionally into European languages other than English, where-ever possible.

We've taken the first step and put K's article about pods up on the site in its original Dutch (our version of the article was translated *to* English by Neku).

We would be eternally grateful if TMC members whose native language is not English volunteered to translate some of our more significant content into, say, German, French, Dutch, Swedish and or Norwegian, etc. Maybe even Italian? Spanish?

Any takers please?

Lest there be any confusion though, I should say that the primary language of TMC will always remain as English, which is probably the most widely-spoken second language for people in Europe anyway - and anyway a number of TMC's members are anglophones (including the site administrator )

joey

PS.: Seriously, good idea. I promised to Neku I'll do some articles like "how to make an espresso", "americano", "cleaning the machine" and "cupping" story - in exchange I hope the autors are ok with it if I use my translated versions for training my employees :-D

But as I am very busy right now opening the store, I am not mad if someone else german speaking does one of these stories if you want to have it quicker then it's possible for me. I will use some weeks to find the time.

Easy peasy

All you need is the Babelfish! It even translates back into English without being too badly mangled ;)
