In case you hadn't noticed ....

Postby phil » Mon May 09, 2005 9:58 pm

Today the "Coffee Shop Diaries" became simply the "Coffee Diaries" as we've extended this section to include a (hopefully) day by day report (a blog I suppose) from Steve Leighton ("Steve"), our good friend who is now a world-famous Cup of Excellence judge.

Steve flew out to Nicaragua yesterday to become part of the judging team for this year's production from that origin. We're very proud of him, and hope he enjoys the experience.

Watch out for daily reports from the intrepid traveller and judge! BTW, another TMC member ("peterj" aka Peter James) is also on this year's panel too. Way to go, Peter!

Footnote - I have shedloads of new "Mocca Club Diaries" entries from the excellent Joey. If I don't fall asleep you may see some of these tomorrow!

Ignoring Dom (always the best course of action IMO) :

Part 1 - The Journey is now posted.

After dinner (assuming I have any energy left and haven't drunk too much) I'll try and get some more of Joey's diaries up, as promised yesterday.

Phil

Thanks Phil. As I re-read my own stories I find them boring. (Not fishing for compliments here!!) I'll try to write more interesting stuff in the future. Did I finish the story with the streetfight yet??
Hmmm, must write more....

Also, please note that last night's Joey contribution has now been extended with another, related story - so you may want to re-visit that one, along with the new ones put up tonight.

Another two days worth of Cup of Excellence experiences, coming to a menu on your left real soon...

It sounds like a hell of a lot more fun than Data Architecture!

Job finished. Steve's last two contributions arrived yesterday evening, but I was too tired to process them. Anyway, I've done it now and you'll find the last two days of his adventure documented on the left. Enjoy! I know Steve did.

Goodnight.

Just a personal thank you to Phil for the work he did on these to make sure they made sense. A mixture of sleep deprivation, toomuchcoffee (yes it is possible) and the local tipple made me lose the ability to make sense towards the end (some would say I don't have those skills most of the time).

I know how much work Phil puts in here for the community, and I for one am grateful

Cheers mate
