Is it actually possible to find a good shot?

I'm off to Washington on Tuesday. Company sending me out to a conference - will be hard work (I handed my notice in on Friday and they are still sending me) ;)

Anyway can any of you fine folk recommend a place for a good decaf espresso ? Even better would be somewhere I could get hold of some decaf green beans.

Thanks Kevin.

How about getting Sweet Marias to ship express service to your hotel, for you to bring back?

We're getting the occasional interesting decafs in the UK now, but Tom's is the place to go for decaf if you're really into it.

Phil - Unfortunately I'm already pushing my limit on bagage as it is. May be worth me looking in to how much excess bagage would cost compared to surface post. though.

Thanks Kevin.

"Tom" is Tom Owen, proprietor of Sweet Marias in the USA.

Sweet Marias is perhaps the place in the world for home roasting afficionados. Our own Steve, proprietor of Hasbean has often said that his greatest ambition is to be the "Tom Owen" of the UK, and perhaps Europe.

These days, we in Europe are well served for interesting non-decaf green from the likes of Hasbean, Ongebrand etc. However, Tom has a really wide range and is always worth a look for a bit of variety. He also always has a number of interesting sounding decafs.

I think he is suffering from caffeine withdrawal symptons Phil. The poor lad lives on the edge of Bodmin moor and the stage coach rarely visits, they have to get by on herbal tea and pasties.

ie. I'm in de caf, watching de stage coach, de spatch the de ranged from Swindon, into de local Bournemouth home for the de mented.
