Anyone fancy lemon meringue pie in a cup? I'm looking at you cakey :)

Really tastes strongly of lemon meringue pie for those interested, get a nice whiff of zest from the beans also, seems one to be very delicately roasted to keep those zesty flavours and creaminess.

Blatant plug for yet another of steve's excellent coffees.

RisingPower, may I ask you, which roast profiles have you used?

I think I have overrost it. It is very nice coffee with incredible rose flavour, but lemon zest has gone.

I went by steves roast profile, think it was a light-medium roast and nowhere near second crack, not preheated, around the 234Âșc mark. It's one you had to be very gentle with to get the lemon zest flavours through.

One thing I did note, the lemon flavour developed over a period of days, until it really got a bit much for espresso, unsurprisingly steven was right, this really isn't an espresso coffee unless you take it with something sweet to balance out the acidity. Probably much more suited to filter/press/vac pot.

If you like lemon, there was plenty of lemon in the cup though and the acidity to match.

Thanks. You are right, after 4 days there is a lot of lemon.
