New Roasts - Very pleased

Postby espressomattic » Wed Apr 22, 2009 8:27 am

Here's a couple of pics of the new Stovetop Roaster - The Popstir.
Also a couple of pics of some Canario that was roasted up this week. Really impressed TBH. Beats the Gene for me. So far I have had a 15 min roast and today I heated it a bit too much and didn't quite get to turning it down quick enough and hit an 11 minute roast. Any looks alright and should taste alright in the morning.

I have found the roasts give more depth of flavour than the Gene, which for me always highlighted the high notes too much.

Very nice! Looks like a little less effort (and a bit safer!) than my old-wok-with-an-ill-fitting-lid-rammed-down-hard-tossing method :D

Looking good mate :) Gas roasting rocks for sure - on so many levels.
