Out of curiosity and because its a boring day at work:
What amount of money would be neded to start home-roasting?

€20 - €50. Get a cheap popcorn popper €10 - €20 new, get some beans €5+ (if you're near Berlin try http://www.preusslers.de/ ) and start roasting! Even if you're thinking about getting a more serious roaster in the future I'd recommend starting with a popper, they're cheap, simple and they give you a good idea of the process.

Sent an email to your p at w dot de account on Saturday, saying I was going to send samples of several different beans and how much did you get through in a week? The idea being that you can have a play at blending to see what combinations you like.

Did the roasts on Sunday evening and was surprised not to have had any response.

Let me know and I'll get the stuff in the post tomorrow, for urgent delivery so it doesn't go stale.
