Roasting with thermocouple

Postby coffee_maniac » Wed Jul 29, 2020 6:18 am

Adding a thermocouple to it has made my experience infinitely better.

The temp strips are decent but if you switch coffees often they are just OK.

Recently I bought the TL0225 thermocouple along with the TC0520 Thermometer and it has made it so easy to find a repeatable temp. It has made my espresso so much more consistent I felt I had to share.

Here is what I bought:

Having this set up has really made my life easier and I have been able to become a lot more consistent with my daily espresso.

There are many threads on placement of the probe so I won't get into that here but I did want to share my extremely positive experience.

I never tried a thermocouple. I even tried roasting once or twice and can't call it a positive experience. But it was a sign for me to buy a good coffee maker to save my time in the mornings.
Everyone should believe in something. I believe I will have another coffee.
