Where can I get hold of Hario drip kettle

No luck with google on getting one from a UK seller. Does anyone have any ideas of where to get hold of one? They look lovely. If you don't know what they are, you can see one on James' Chemex brewing film as well as the Intelligensia Chemex brewing film on Vimeo.

The problem here though is that avenue18 say that they don't deliver outside the USA and Canada.

Intelligentsia also stock the Hario kettle and do deliver to the UK though by the time you add postage and charges/taxes at UK customs it does work out quite expensive.

Barismo seem to have a few, though stock is low (http://shop.barismo.com/equipment/hariokettle) - don't know if they ship outside the US.

Alternatively, you could use a Japanese proxy service to buy from Hario directly? Haven't used it myself, but I'm aware of folks who buy Japanese denim (http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/sh ... p?t=162257) - don't know if they could buy from Hario or point you in the direction of someone who could? Maybe a group buy might make it worthwhile?

I must admit Intelli's and Barismo's wares have me forking out a small fortune.
Barismo used to ship to UK - I bought a TCA2 syphon form them last year though I think you have to contact them by e-mail since the UK shipping option has been removed from their check out options.

Hario USA also carry the kettle. Maybe they would ship to the UK direct (the Japanese store has a huge minimum order amount - USA may be the same).

Hi shm,

in Belgium you should find a shop for Hario products:

I already ordered some Hario stuff :)

Best regards

Joerg

wow for a second after reading the website (and not your post thoroughly...) I thought maybe there was a roastery in France that buys half decent green....but no - they're in Belgium and Luxembourg.

the search continues.

OT.
Jason, I can now think of at least a couple of places in France that buy off Mercanta, haven't had the chance to try their roasts yet though. Still way behind the UK.

We stock these kettles here in Australia. I'll work out how much shipping will be to see if this is a viable option for you.
