Thanks Hugh. That puts things into perspective one way, but still leaves me with the issue of brewing just one cup. Not sure that filling other cups or keeping the remainder hot would suit me. The second point is the one of a weaker (milder) brew. I like it strong and thick with lots of body, though I have to say that I was very happy when all I had was the Jug and Filter. Your note about not having the sludge is a good one. That has to be worth while going over to the Cona or Santos. Anyway you have given me lots to think about and I shall certainly do that. As an aside Hugh....The espresso from the Carezza might not have a great deal of crema,just yet, but boy oh boy does it taste good. Thanks a million. Walt
