Too Much Coffee

Damnit, Wily! :evil:

I've been successfullly holding off on getting a vac-brew system.. and now *sigh* now, with these pics too

Nice one, looks too good for my own good

Was it fairly easy to adjust the grinds for it? If you've accidentally ground a bit too fine/coarse can you shorten/lengthen the brew time appropriately?

hi beany!
yeah was easy enough. just put my rancilio rocky to 25 from true zero point which conveniently is zero on my rocky. i used this as a starting point. yesterday i tightened the grind up a few notches for the sumatra lingtong and it was great...only a very very tiny amount of granules in the pot at the end..not even worth mentioning.
i guess if you feel you've ground too coarse or too fine you can just leave to steep up top for a minute or two extra or less if you so wish. i left it for about 3.5 mins...nice and tasty!

really glad i spent the extra and went the Cona route.
very clean flavoursome coffee. improves as it begins to cool too. certainly makes you want to drink more brewed coffee.....without taking away that something special about a good shot of espresso

Absolutely, and choices are always great. It is nice to have a bit of brewed and some decent shots both available at home. Top stuff old chap

That's not fair!!!! Especially this close to Christmas - I've been putting off buying the Bijou kitchen version. I've been buying hifi instead - sorry, I know I've been straying from the path of a true Coffee Believer :oops:

It's not the best-looking model though; I wouldn't pay more than that for it

I agree,it's a bit ugly.
A nice '70s original 1 pint model went for £12 +pp today on eBay.
Anyone here get it?

P+P take it back up to >£20, but then finding an original '70s one still BNIB must be a tad rare so I s'pose that's not a bad price
