COE for the press pots

Postby BazBean » Tue Oct 31, 2006 11:32 am

:D
Nigaraguan COE los Laureles ... £8 per 250g (Gulp..!! ) but this is most definetly one of the most stunning beans i have tried.
Face slapping sweetness i have as yet not truely experienced. Half way down the cup I start to get sad as it would soon end.surprised by the warmth in the cup and was very suprised that the flavour soon dispaeared which was a strange one.

I do share COE with some of my very regular customers whom appreciate very nice coffee but i made the mistake of making half a dozen drinks before i personaly tried it ... I soon stopped giving this stuff away ...lol.

do I wish it was cheaper, YEP! Is it worth a few quid more.. most definetly
Only thing is as it costs more iam allways a little scared to buy green in case i fluff it up so i tend to buy pre roasted...then again cowardise is a family trait ..

:? :?

I was trying to convince myself not to try that one yet and you had to go and tempt me. Sounds great Baz, have you tried it through the espresso machine as well? I know Steve says it is a bit too acidic, but just wondered if you had tried it :D

Hm. I had the Nicaraguan coop de 22nd septiembre (or so) and used it with the aeropress. Steve, you should have told me that it needs (more) time to rest! About two weeks I had one cup a day of it and thought "yes, great coffee, but CoE winner?"
Then I had a two day abstinence from home and CoE coffee, and had another cup with the rest of it. And it was AWESOME! Really really great. Really. I don't know why, but it tasted totally different - like Jim describe it on his blog. That day I was soooo sad that it was the last cup of it ... d'oh!
Lukas

This week I like my coffee luke-warm.

Totally agree Lukas, the "Coop" is fantastic in the Aerobie and did seem to improve with age, though it didn't get past a week here :D

She really did give away the very last bag of my favourite bean ever I hadn’t thought of it like that, I think there is a domestic brewing, certainly not and Nic 22nd brewing that’s for sure. :)
