African coffees in the moka pot... not bad!

Postby Terje » Sat Sep 23, 2006 4:46 pm

While the moka pot isn't my first choice for Yirgacheffe or Kenyan AA it is also true that Yirgacheffe, Harar and Kenyan AA are great choices for the moka pot!

To get the most out of the african beans I think a press is better but the african beans will make one of the very best moka pot coffees I know.
Different beans and a frying pan, Zassenhaus grinder and a couple of moka pots...

No, african beans are good at all times. Yirgacheffe is an excellent turkish coffee too.

Malabaar is more of a moka pot coffee actually IMO.

You know I've never tried it with my Mokas having been bowled over with it as a espresso. Will do now though.

Dammit....I dont have any MM, although I love it, it's not that popular with a lot of people....I must try and get 5-10 kg.

I would also like to give it a whirl in my Mokka pot....just to see.
