OK, Personally, if I was going to drink malt whisky with coffee (separately of course, never mixed (shudder)) I would be looking for a big, slightly sweeter finish. Maybe Talisker, possibly Ardbeg, quite possibly Lagavulin,

I'd have to second that. Although I only tasted the talisker once and wasn't impressed. But once really isn't enough to judge a whisky though.
Lagavulin 16y is still the best I've had. And I just ran out :(

The Brora should be good. Haven't tasted it. I had some Clynelish a while back and was quite impressed. That should be more or less similar to a Brora if I am not mistaken.

I'd also recommend the Cragganmore. Which I find a slightly more affordable alternative to the better known Speysides.
Price is an issue, you see, when you are a student.

I used to put a shot of drambuie in my coffee. Which is a spiced whiskyblend sweetened with heather honey. Quite good. I think I have a tick for heather flavoured things.

Maybe I should just try some heather in my coffee ;)

Another interesting site for everyone...http://www.maltmadness.com/

man I'm drooling now.
