I'm just about to bid on a couple of kilos of this stuff (so far the price is right ). Anyone have any thoughts on it? I don't use Kenya in Espresso, but I thought that it might be nice in the AeroPress. |

I love Kenyan coffee. It can have an incredible 'zing' of berry acidity that I find overwhelmingly pleasant, that was most impressive in the Gethwumbini Marcy gave me some time ago. But some of my coffee drinking colleages can't stand exactly that zing acidity (maybe they're just not used to it).
Yesterday I tried a Kenyan in a Cappccino (thanks James for the idea ) and it was quite different, but nice nevertheless.
Hm, if it says "AA Plus Handselected", qualitywise it should be okay if I understand the Kenyan QA? |

Well, I'll let you know how it is. I just got it for 5 Euros/kilo (4kg). |

| Hey, must have missed this post, Bruce. May I ask where you bought it? Is it on eBay? |

Sheesh, that was in August! How do you expect me to remember how that coffee was? I can hardly remember how my coffee was this morning!
I just went back through my roasting notes and now I do remember that it was (still is if I roast some) quite tasty, quite mild and not as acidic as I expected. There's a nice fruity note in there, too, in the Aeropress. I even tried it as espresso in a blend with some Columbian Bucharamanga and it was quite nice. I guess I'll have to roast some again. I'd forgotten all about it. I have so many greens (about 20 different varieties and a total of about 60kg).
Yes, I found it on e-bay, but the fellow in Berlin doesn't seem to be offering anything there anymore. |

Sorry Bruce, I just read over this section in the forum and that coffee still sounded interesting to me. But I also found posts from me I didn't remember writing ... |
