| This may be a stupid question but I will ask it anyway. I was given a kilo of beans today that are intended for a cafe (No fancy name brand, just a bag of beans) They are very oily/silky to the touch and was wondering if such a bean would cause a lot of crap/damage to build up in the grinder (superjolly) due to the oils on the bean? |

Your safe, the grinder will be fine. I put a load of shiny coffee through a rubur to season/break in the burrs.
Some residue will stick, it maybe crap. Sort of depends on your opinion of the beans. |

| Whether the oil is in the beans or on the surface is pretty much the same to the grinder. |
